Actress and TV personality Keke Palmer welcomed a baby boy into the world on Monday with her partner, Darius Jackson.
The 29-year-old couple and first-time parents announced the arrival of their son into the world with a instagram post for Palmer’s 12.1 million followers.
“Hi son! Only 48 hours into parenthood!” Palmer wrote in the post that included a series of photos, including one of her newborn, named Leodis Andrellton Jackson.
He also left a note for his partner: “Darius always made me playlists when we first started dating, El Debarge’s ‘Someone’ was one of my favourites. We became each other’s someone and made a someone, look to God !”. Palmer concluded her post by noting that her child was “born during Black History Month, with a name to match!”
In December of last year, the actress Announced her pregnancy during an episode of “Saturday Night Live” after various Internet rumors began to spread that she was pregnant.
“There are some rumors going around, people have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke is having a baby, Keke is pregnant. I just want to set the record straight…I am,” Palmer said during her opening monologue and unbuttoning her wrap to reveal her baby tummy.
Congratulations from celebrity friends and fans poured in on her announcement. Rapper Big Sean said: “Congratulations! Welcome to the club.” Actress Meagan Good wrote: “Congratulations sis, blessings to you and your family!” Abbott Elementary star and creator Quinta Brunson wrote ” “Congratulations!!!! Welcome to the best neighborhood!”
Palmer recently won the New York Film Circle’s Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in Jordan Peele’s latest film, No He also wants to star in the new David O. Russell movie, big toys, with Sacha Baron Cohen according to Variety.
